Districts & Divisional Secretariats Web Portal will be launched on 1st of August 2007.  There are 25 web sites for each district secretariat and for all divisional secretariats. You can get many information from this web portal!

Government is working along with the Board of Investment (BOI) to build up a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Puttlam, in the Northwestern Part of the country.

A 340 acres plot of land, located along the Anuradhapura-Kurunagela Road has already been selected for the proposed SEZ. The first phase of the project will develop an extent of 225 acres and the second phase will develop 115 acres.
