Workshop conducting by Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA)
Preliminary workshop for providing information communication technology for an approximately 800 state officers within the district; was held at the 7th floor auditorium of District Secretariat in Galle from 9 am to 12 noon on 1st December 2008. For this workshop all divisional secretaries, assistant divisional secretaries, accountants, Assistant Directors (Planning) as well as computer data entry operators have been participated. Mr.Suranga Jayasuriya – Project Manager of Lanaka Government Network and group of representative from ICTA also participated at this event.
ISO 9001: 2000 Award won by District Secretariat of Galle.
District Secretariat of Galle achieved ISO 9001:2000 quality certification from the Sri Lanka Standards Institute very recently. This will be considered as a very special occasion because government institute in Sri Lanka achieved this certification for the first time in the history of Sri Lanka. We believe that “Value added quality service inspires Confidence”
Productivity Award (Inter Departments) won by District Secretariat of Galle
District Secretary – Mr.Asoka Jayasekera and the staff of District Secretariat of Galle have been honored with First Place of National Productivity Award (inter department) during the year 2006. District Secretariat won this award for the first time in the history of productivity in the island. “Dedicated cleanly state services is our motto”
