Under the productivity improvement programme in the district secretariat of Kalutara energy conservation programme as at situated to reduce 10% energy consumption by study the previous monthly amount of units consumed strategies have been adopted to operate this programme under a separate energy manager

2008 Kalutara district experienced a highest recorded flood in beginning to June 2008. The damaged assistants of   houses have been prepared by divisional secretaries. It is hoped to construct these partially & fully damaged houses soon begin assistants of government & UN Agencies supports.
