1)142 Villages in Colombo District are developed under 'Gama Neguma' Programme

            Rs. 70 million is allocated by the Ministry of Nation Building to develop 142 villages in Colombo district under 'Gama Neguma' programme. These projects are already being implemented in 144 Grama Niladhari divisions in divisional secretariats Kaduwela, Kolonnawa, Hanwella, Padukka, Maharagama, Homagama and Kesbewa.

2)A web site for Colombo District Secretariat

            Designing a web site for the Colombo District Secretariat is already under way. It is scheduled to be opened this web site by Hon. Minster of Public Administration and Home Affairs Karu Jayasooriya on 1st of August 2007.
